Just 28 miles northwest of Denver on U.S. 36, this beautiful university town is laid back, sophisticated, and exquisitely situated in the foothills below The Flatirons, a stunning rock formation that is famous throughout the Rockies. At an elevation of 5,430 feet above sea level and with a population of 103,673, Boulder Colorado was voted by Outdoors Magazine as the best city in the United States for outdoor activities. With 33,000 acres of open space for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, mountain climbing, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, horseback rising, fishing, and golf, Boulder is a magnet for tourists who are looking for a quintessential Rocky Mountain vacation.

With a strong emphasis on education and innovative research, Boulder, Colorado is the home of the National Center for Atmospheric Research and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, where the visitor can enjoy tours of each site. Boulder is also the home of the University of Colorado and The Naropa University, the only Buddhist university in the United States.

Directions from Denver International Airport:
Exit DIA on Pea Boulevard. Continue to I-70 west. Take I-70 west to the I-270 north exit toward Fort Collins. Stay on I-270 north to the US Hwy. 36 west exit, toward Boulder. Continue on Hwy. 36 to Boulder. Take a left on Pearl Street to Folsom. Or take the toll road exit, E-470 north, from Pena Blvd. to Northwest Parkway toward Broomfield connecting to US 36. Continue west on Hwy. 36 to Boulder. Turn left on Pearl Street to Folsom. The toll road costs $6 one-way.
