Who can actually say that their backyard is chock full of alpine forests, families of elk, and wildflower meadows that go on forever? Those living in the Swiss Alps, you say… Well, yes, but come to Estes Park, Colorado and you’ll have the Rocky Mountain National Park as your playground, with all of big nature at your beck and call! Take Trail Ridge Road, the highest continuous road in the U.S., and get lost roaming the forests and meadows bordered by some of the most gorgeous mountain peaks in the Colorado Rockies. (Don’t worry, there’s always a park ranger somewhere around to point you in the direction home!)

In Estes Park there are almost too many wonderful things to do! Boating, mountain biking, and horseback riding are just some of the activities you can enjoy during summer months. Rock and ice climbers have a great time in Estes Park as it is one of the best places in the Colorado Rockies for these sports. Winter brings all the usual suspects: skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and gives you the perfect excuse to relax your muscles in a sensuous hot tub after a long day of super outdoor fun.

With absolutely no commercial distractions this playground is a hard one to leave. Take the tranquil Riverwalk or stroll through the friendly town, discovering the cool eateries and bars that make Estes Park, Colorado such a great Colorado Rockies vacation destination.
