Just 12 miles from Aspen, Snowmass Village is a great place to stay with the family. A terrific mountain for intermediate level skiers, the area offers long runs and excellent accommodations. Snowmass is also popular with cross-country skiers who enjoy the 80 km of winter trails. Dog sledding is another fun way to enjoy the wintry terrain. Take the kids and take a ride through the snowy wilderness. You’ll feel like you’re in another century!
Summer is a great season for visitors to Snowmass Village. The Snowmass Lodge and Club offers a great golf course and the Fryingpan River, just nearby, offers some of the best fishing around. And for the adventurous, take a hike, climb, or horseback ride through the mountains and valleys, or enjoy a kayak ride through the waterways that weave through the area. If your vacation travel takes you to Snowmass in June, you can be part of the highest altitude Balloon Festival. Watch the races while dining on a champagne breakfast serenaded by classical music! And while you’re there, be sure to visit the Anderson Ranch Arts Center where you’ll see the work of local artists. At the Arts Center, you can also sign up for many workshops offered during the summer months.
